We do not see this as an obligation, but rather it is a key part of the effective balance of the three elements of sustainable development; competitiveness, social and environmental. The following regulations ensure greater environmental and human health protection as demanded by modern consumers. However by pursuing these objectives, we are driving greater innovation, competitiveness and enterprise as we achieve these goals. AP(89)1 is an EU regulation relating to the use of colourants in plastic materials that come into contact with foodstuffs. Our products apply the limited agreement under the Council Of Europe Resolutions AP(89)1 on the use of colourants in plastic material coming into contact with food.

These limits apply to the amount of extractable by 0.

These limits apply to the amount of extractable by 0.1M HCL and relate to the colourants itself, not the coloured finished article.

EN71 is an EU standard, specifying safety requirements for all toys sold in the European Union. For compliance with the European Standard on Safety of Toys EN71 Part 3 – migration of certain elements are performed by Atomic absorption or inductively coupled Argon Plasma Spectrometry. Unicolour provides a general analysis report on our products and would be more than happy to carry out testing on a particular batch upon request.

CLP is an EU regulation relating to the Classification, Labeling & Packaging of substances and mixtures, hence CLP regulations. The CLP regulation has to be implemented for substances by 1st December 2010, and for mixtures by 1st June 2015. Unicolour Limited understands the importance of this change and our consequent obligations. We have
